| Occasionally, people have ideas for special ceramic projects in which they want to be involved. I'm certainly open to this type of suggestion. Here's one example: |
| River lovers Joe & Margie wanted a special set of dinner plates tracing the course of a river from headwaters to ocean delta. They also wanted to participate in the design and decoration of the plates. I threw a set of plates on the wheel and they spent several days in my studio working together with me on the decorating. We were all thrilled with the results. The finished plates represent the various qualities of a river and the aesthetic sensibility and humor of their creators, and could as easily go on a living room wall as on a dining room table. In fact, Joe & Margie decided that any plates that break over time will simply be mounted on the wall. |
